Summary – Perform structural analysis of curtainwall systems utilizing established engineering principles and practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  •  Provides engineering for curtainwall systems including but not limited to wind load calculations, building code interpretation, analyzing indeterminate beams, anchorage to the main structure, and finite element modeling.
  • Provides formal calculations verifying the work completed
  • Communicates with the drafting department in creating shop drawings with the appropriate engineering incorporated
  • Communicates engineering requirements to the customer in such a manner that they can understand what is required.
    Able to complete all project assignments under general supervision.

 Education and/or Experience – Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, structural emphasis preferred; zero to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Possess EIT certification or have the ability to take Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
