Earthquake

In September of 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Christchurch, New Zealand. Within hours after the original earthquake The Childress Engineering Services First Response Team traveled to New Zealand to assist in the assessment of various structures. While in Christchurch, CES worked on 4 projects; 3 of which were at a food storage facility. CES’ initial scope was to assess the buildings to determine if they were safe to begin the clean up. Then we provided prepared plans for shoring for the units so that the product could safely be removed. CES remained on site monitoring the conditions during the removal of product from the storage facility.
